Helping newcomers in Winnipeg

About us

Call For Hope was established in 2020 by newcomers who have made their home in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Our hard-working volunteer Board of Directors keep busy with jobs, family, and helping newcomers to Winnipeg.

For immediate help

Call For Hope Inc. is not funded to provide immediate assistance.

If you are in Manitoba and need help NOW, please see what is available to you at mb.211.ca

Who we are

Call For Hope Inc. formed and incorporated as a non-profit in 2020. Overseen by a volunteer working board, we look forward to continuing to develop and work toward helping newcomers make Winnipeg and Manitoba home. We are a small, but growing organization working hard to help others adjust to life in Winnipeg.

Community events

Call for Hope, Inc. organizes events in the community for newcomers to meet and learn about life in Winnipeg and Canada.

Individualized assistance

If you are physically in Winnipeg or in Manitoba and need assistance, contact us using the form at the end of this page.

CRA’s CVITP

Call for Hope offers income tax filing assistance to newcomers and their families.

We are able to assist people with modest income and simple tax situations. A “simple” tax situation means you have:

– no income
– employment that gives you T4 forms
– pension income
– benefits, such as the Canada Pension Plan, Old Age Security, disability insurance, employment insurance, and social assistance
– registered retirement savings plans (RRSPs)
– scholarships, fellowships, bursaries, or grants

We are very sorry that we are unable to support people with small businesses. We would like to, but we are not qualified.

We will continue to update this page as more details are available.

Our scheduled clinics are now over. If you would like to try to schedule an appointment, please scroll down to the “Contact us” form below and provide your information. Please provide an approximate time/date and a location convenient to you. Thank you.
